  • Distracted and dangerous driving has become effectively decriminalised as there is zero enforcement. Even after a spate of pedestrian deaths in Glasgow there was no change in the police or council response. A dashcam portal would allow the public to quickly and easily report driving offences. Following serious incidents the council should investigate how road design contributed to the incident, and redesign to avoid it happening again. Road injuries and deaths are not the cost of doing business, or accidents, but the result of poor driving and poor road design.

    • Hello Tom. Although there is no portal for camera footage I would encourge anyone who wants to report a crime to contact 101 and a crime report can be recorded. An enquiry officer will be appointed and they will make arrangements to secure any footage as evidence.
