Connect Glendaruel aims to establish an EV charge point in the village of Glendaruel.
Connnect Glendruel will establish an electricity connection to a community owned area known as the Acre Trust. Once this is established we will install an EV charge point.
The presence of an electricity connection at this site benefits other users of the Acre Trust site as well as providing a much needed resource of an EV charge point.
At present there is no facility to charrge vehicles in Glendaruel, This will become of increasing importance as we move towards Net Zero and the shift towards electric vehicles.
This will benefit visitors, local businesses and locals alike.
The EV charge point will be managed by the Colintraive and Glendaruel Development Trust as a social enterprise, with all profits being used for community benefit.
The project will encourage continued access to area for visitors, and provide important infrastructure. Community consultation identified an EV charge point as the number priority for the community of Glendaruel.
Connect Glendaruel will have an ongoing impact in the community,support and encourage the transition to electric vehicles, support local businesses and provide revenue to support community initiatives.
